The plume of smoke from the Jesusita Fire drifted slowly on relatively calm winds on the morning of May 8. The speed of this time lapse video has been increased by a factor of 30.
The Jesusita Fire broke out in San Roque Canyon above Santa Barbara about 1:30 PM on May 5, 2009. Two Bell Huey helicopters and many County and City Fire Crews responded in short order.
